I’m a novelist publishing two web serial novels. I don’t want to use your WordPress plugin. I’ve already had portions of my work stolen twice by pirates. WP is notoriously insecure. Is there another way to create posts via API? I have hundreds of chapters to manage across both works.
I also need to manage the tiering so that as the posts age, lower tiers get access to them.
I’ve tried a LOT of things. Nothing has worked. I can connect. The tier management even says that it worked but it’s not actually setting the tiers. The thing that should allow me to upload chapters just gives me a 405 error.

I have to say that the documentation is terrible. For something that’s aimed at creatives, this is really difficult. There’s not a good HowTo document anywhere.

Hi @CorazonTenebres! Currently there is no way to create posts through the api.

So I’m stuck publishing ~800 chapters by hand across my web serials. Can I express to you how much this sucks? I’d pay for the option of publishing via markdown. Even Royal Road lets me upload zip files of Word docx to create the drafts.

Upvoting this request as well. The API feels heavily useless without the most important feature of creating and managing posts

This needs to be a thing. I write blog posts via my website and sync them to social media, my discord, and my phpbb forum. I would also like to do this with Patreon, because copy/pasting and setting up tags and what-not is time consuming. And, on a side note, Patreon has really outdated social connections and it’s about 5 years overdue for an update

It should and if Patreon won’t build it, I have a Devin and a Claude Code subscription.

+1 for this, just logged into my Pateron after maybe 2-3 years and delighted to see I have 4 members making $7/month! I immediately wanted to connect my main feed of content into Patreon but realised there’s no automated way to do this!?

I’ve been asking for this for at least 2 years and got told directly by Patreon support that they have absolutely no attention to ever allow API posting.

For my particular community, this would be a godsend because I do a lot of data analysis and being able to have it would allow me to actually post my data as soon as it’s completed.

I’m even all too happy to have it simply saved as a draft and then I have to manually approve the draft before it goes live. This would actually be my preferred methodology so I can correct any formatting errors before it does go live.
