# Imported post not respecting WP timezone choice

I have auto-post set up and it’s feeding Patreon post to wordpress perfectly.

Except I noticed that the newly created posts were scheduled for a future time hours from the import time.

I have the timezone in WP settings set to New York ( though the issue is the same using manual offset ) so EST. The time that the post is scheduled for import is the UTC +/- 0 value at the time of import.

I can work around it by changing the WP setting back to +/- 0 for the time zone. I however need to be able to set the time zone for other content on the website.

Is anyone else having this issue or have a solution that would allow me to retain the ability to set the WP time zone settings?

Try confirming that there isnt any plugin that sets default post status to scheduled etc.
