# Patreon users not able to access the content via my website

How do i check it? Also the user is not able to view the chapters even tho he paid, it just tells to subscribe again

Check if the plugin did not create another username for this user. If you don’t have the strict authetication active, it may happen.

I’m having the same issue I can’t even get past it logged in as admin and I have oauth on. When I click the unlock button I’m sent straight to a checkout page.

If I’m logged into my Patreon account, I will be stuck here because it will say I can’t become a member of my own Patreon. Another issue is that going through this screen can actually change the Patreon reward tier. I had a Patreon subscriber at $10, but the minimum to access content is $5. When they tried to unlock the content, it led to this screen. It didn’t charge them anything but downgraded their tier.
Why does the unlock button not just go to the regular Patreon flow? if i could change where the unlock with patreon button lead that would be helpful.

You can create a patron account with a different email but same payment info and try subscribing to yourself to test it live.
