# Wordpress: we weren't able to get the token for connecting your site to Patreon

Hey guys, I’m not sure why I keep getting the error message:  
“We weren’t able to get the token for connecting your site to Patreon for the time being. Please wait a while and try again and contact support if this situation persists.”

What am I doing wrong here people? Any help much appreciated!

Have you already connected another site of yours to Patreon using the plugin’s setup wizard before?
