Today I got the new feature, that members can join Patreon for free and access the open posts.
I did notice in the WP plugin though, that when checking “Any Patron” it uses the currency 0.01, which makes it impossible for free users to access the post. If I changed the currency to 0.00 it overrides “Any Patreon” and makes the post open to everyone.
Is there a fix for this in the making? That would make it possible to sign in to Patreon to view the post, but you don’t have to pay to see it, and still it’s locked for non Patrons?

The WP plugin will be updated for it in a later date. For the time being if that workaround works, you can keep using it.
