Integrating Patreon with an LMS Platform for Free Course Access

Hello!

I’m currently developing an LMS platform and am exploring ways to integrate it with Patreon. My goal is to allow creators to offer free access to their courses for their Patreon supporters.

Here’s how I envision the integration working:

  1. The hub administrator sets up their Patreon account ID in the platform settings and activates the “Login with Patreon” feature.
  2. When a user signs up using their Patreon account, I want to verify if they are a supporter of the hub administrator. If they are, they would automatically be granted access to the hub/community.

Any guidance or recommendations on how to best implement this integration would be greatly appreciated!

Are there more than one hub/administrator?

If so, you can use the login with Patreon feature to ask for campaign scope from the creators. Then they dont need to enter any Patreon account id: Your app can get the campaign details and save it in their accounts.

When patrons log in via Patreon, you can check their pledges to the creator whose content is being requested, and allow if they qualify.

It sounds exactly like something I need.
I am thinking about:
Place a button in hub settings “Connect Patreon Account” to connect creator account with a hub.
Place a button for students in login form if creator account is connected to a hub.
