Patreon Wordpress Plugin Slow To Load and Can't Update Settings

The “Patreon Settings” page is very slow to load. Sometimes when I click Connection Details, it just refreshes the page and the details don’t show up. Also, any changes I made to the Patreon Wordpress Options don’t seem to stick.

When I go to health check it says “health is great”.
WP 5.5.1 with PHP 7.2.33
Patreon WordPress 1.6.5 with API v2
Patreon Button, Widgets and Plugin 2.0.5

Please assist.

Do you experience the same when you click on sub-menu pages in Patreon Settings menu?

Edit: “Health Check” returns very fast.

Any errors while updating settings (clicking save etc)? Just slow?

I occasionally will get this:

“There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

Sometimes there is no error message but the changes do not stick.

Can you check your website’s error logs and copy/paste what error is listed after such a case? In case you cant determine the exact error, you can forward a list of them to me via direct message. Better to not post large segment of error log publicly.
