Ello… I’ve been on Patreon for awhile now, and I’ve begun looking into affiliate programs to help me pull in some income… I attempted to use the html edit feature on the page editor (</>), copy/pasted the code for one of the widgets I acquired from one of the affiliate sites I found, saved my work, and went to preview… The code doesn’t take… What am I doing wrong, or is the page not able or allowed to take widgets…? I appreciate the help…
If this is related to patreon.com as you were using the site, you should open a support ticket at the help desk.
i did… The response was that they don’t for this subject any more, due to limited resources, and directed me here…
Third party scripts from another site may not work inside widgets due to security situations. You may try different code, or see if there is a version of code which is like analytics code instead of a widget and see if this would work.
