Issues with posts properly syncing to Wordpress

Hey y’all!

I’ve currently got an issue syncing my client’s Patreon posts to WordPress.

I installed the Patreon for WordPress plugin on my client’s website, and they set it up to sync all the posts from their Patreon account. This worked fine for about 300 or so posts.

That said, it stopped short and is not importing all 1000+ posts they have on Patreon. It seems to be getting stuck.

I tried disconnecting the site, uninstalling the plug-in, then reinstalling and connecting again.

This solution briefly worked last night with the manual import finally working, then shortly after the automatic import started working. But as of this morning, it stopped syncing again, and I can’t even get the manual import to work again.

Does anyone know what might be going on here?

Post sync feature seems broken. Try disabling it in Patreon Settings → Post sync, then re-enabling it at the same settings page.

Still appear to have the same issue. That said, I should also point out a discovery this client’s web host found.

Are all your plugins the latest version? Also make sure that opcache is not serving stale code at your host.

Cron situation is something that must be solved at your site. Disabling the post sync at Patreon Settings → Post Sync and then saving the form and repeating it the other way may help recreate the lost cron schedule.

Yes. This is on version 1.8.6.

Upon further looking at the logs, it appears that the issue with the Cron notice is no longer appearing after updating to a Real Cron Job.

I’ve also flushed the OP Cache as well.

That’s odd. If you do a manual import by clicking the ‘Import next batch’ button, does the same error appear in PHP error logs?
