Members not being able to access content

Hello, most of the time when new members subscribe to get access to my protected materials they run into issues preventing them to download these contents. Sometimes they say it’s like their account has not been created when they sign up on Patreon or their password is incorrect, etc. Even if they paid and have an account on Patreon, it’s still not recognised as a real or authorised account.
Sometimes I’ve noticed that in my Users list on my Wordpress Website the user is not added at all or the email field is empty. Now I’m having an issue with a user who is in the users list on my website, but still can’t access my contents.
I’ve copied the list of the last 50 connection errors from my Wordpress plugin:

Your site may have lost connection to Patreon. Try the steps below to force-reconnect it:

Also make sure that your caching plugin or server side caching, or CDN does not cache /patreon-authorization page.

Thank you so much for your reply. I often reconnect my site to Patreon, thinking that it might be the cause of the issue, but the issue keeps presenting itself again and again. I’ve also upgraded my Patreon WordPress installation to use API v2 a long time ago.

I don’t use any caching plugin or CDN, so I really don’t know why some users keep having a problem accessing my contents when they subscribe.

Does your host use server-side caching? Some hosts use reverse proxy caches that you cant access or modify.

I checked and my host gives the option to enable caching, but right now it’s disabled and I’ll leave it that way.

How many patrons are affected by this? Are there a few patrons or all of them?

It’s usually new patrons (not all of them), but some of them send me an email saying they can’t access the pages. Sometimes they just cancel their subscription immediately for this and sometimes they wait and at some point they tell me they were finally able to download the material. Some tell me they are asked to subscribe again because their username or email is not recognised, even if they’ve just subscribed.

Can you contact your web host (or check your infra) and ask/confirm whether there could be anything that can interfere with outgoing connections to Patreon apis? These may be security plugins you have, the host’s security measures (ie, mod_security etc), or infra’s security measures.
