Connecting wordpress site to Patreon site

I’ve installed the Wordpress plugin, but when I go to connect accounts, I receive the error message “Sorry - to connect your site to Patreon you need to be an admin user.” I AM the only admin on my website. I’ve reached out to my hosting company, and they say the problem doesn’t lie with the underlying site.

I would post all five of the pics that show the exact steps I take, but after attempting that, I discover that I don’t have that privilege yet … OK. Here’s the initial look that I see to make the connection.

The WP admin account used during the process fails current_user_can( ‘manage_options’ ) privilege check when the admin returns from Patreon with oAuth code for some reason. Best option would be to contact the host and ask about this.
