At the moment my site won’t pass the w3c valitator because of missing alt tags for the patron buttons and
a space in a filebname. two super small changes in the code for some peace of mind

Thanks for reporting this. Ill look into it. But it may take some time to implement it due to backlog. For now you could hook into the filters which the plugin provides for those images and add the alt tags yourself.
